The John Dowe

John Joseph Dowe Sr. is the father of John Dowe, the creator of the Dowe collection. He was born on March 4, 1860 in Montgomery, Alabama. He and his wife Margaret briefly moved to Anniston, Alabama but moved back to Montgomery sometime in between 1910- 1920.4 He died on October 1, 1930 in Montgomery at the age of 70.3
